Amazing holiday - with so much to love and enjoy for all of us, which is not an easy brief to meet when you have four kids between you aged... read more 20-14 and different genders. Everyone had an amazing trip and JH Villa surpassed our expectations - the facilities are fabulous. Gym, pool, pool table, table tennis, pizza oven - monkeys in the trees providing entertainment to the monkeys we travelled with.... The sound system, wow! - one for every room! - and either end of the spectacular pool too which gave our teenagers an opportunity to party whilst sipping cocktails on the loungers. What is not to like! The location is brilliant too - just a short tuc tuc to the gorgeous walled Galle town; and palm tree lined beaches which provide a natural habitat to seven species of turtle who hatch eggs there; and the dolphins; and the whales; and the birds....wow so much to enjoy there's not enough time or space to write it all. We all desperately want to go back - if nothing else for the amazing Siralese team who work at JH who were there to support our every need and more; and you cant beat the cooking, utterly delic thanks to vast amounts of fresh produce the country boast growing. It was a 5 star experience - unforgettable and etched in our memories forever; which is all you can ever ask for when travelling with a blended family with diverse interests and ages! Loved it - we'll be back!

As you drive through... read more the gates, you enter into your own private magical world. You are greeted by immaculately kept lush tropical gardens and the glorious colonial Villa comes into view.
The house exhudes comfort, impeccable taste and attention to detail.
Completely modernised with every room having its own giant TV and soundsystem, and yet it has still managed to retain its charming and colonial character.
The state of the art gym, the badminton court and the glorious infinity pool meant that we hardly ever wanted to leave our glorious garden of Eden.
And a special mention to the fantastic team of friendly staff that look after your every desire. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The chef produced meal after meal of restaurant quality food - and I'm talking of top class restaurant quality.
There is a fantastic array of drinks, and cocktails. Let's just say that if you were drinking white wine for example, your glass would never be empty!
By the time I left, I was already dreaming of returning and rekindling my friendship with all the lovely staff.
If you ever want to escape from the real world and leave all your troubles behind, this is most definitely the place for you.

The house is very secure and the staff very helpful when we wanted to travel and see some sites.

This is not a hotel but truly a Villa. Only six rooms and staff there to help with whatever you need

Sammy the head chef, yes there are two staff there to prepare you meals if you want, is a very good chef. The food was magnificent and Sammy catered specifically for my wife’s allergy to sulphites and vinegars.

As it is a Villa, there is no bar, but some drinks available. We bought some beers down the street and put them in the kitchen fridge.

This is five star accommodation that is well worth the experience.

Without a doubt,... read more this is one of the nicest boutique hotels we have ever stayed in, in all our years of travel. The decor is beautiful, beds extremely comfortable, staff are attentive and unassuming and the pool area is simply remarkable. It feels like the owners have thought of every single small detail in this property. The beach is just a short stroll away and access is easy at the JH Beach House. The food is excellent, from pastas to keep our kids happy to authentic Sri Lankan curries. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer.

We could not have been better catered for - Sammi's meals were just outstanding and the warmth and friendliness of all of the staff will stay with us always. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful time in Sri Lanka - Spent the most beautiful time in Sri Lanka in the fantastic JH Villa surrounded by the most luxurious garden. The snacks at the pool at sunset prepared by the cooks... read more were absolutely divine and it was hard to leave the place for a tuk tuk ride to Galle Fort. Back home all the Staff and Manager made the most to create an exclusive atmosphere of well being and kindness.

I will surely come back to enjoy also the Beach House and the catch of the day from the fisherman’s nearby.

The property are so well kept, lovely surroundings with peacocks, monkey and lovely garden. The swimmingpool are superb.

The villa it self is lovely- we stayed in the Jade room. Spacious, lovely interior and very clean (all days)

The chef are so good- we love food, and this is one of the best food experience we have had. Did so much to please our pallets, from breakfast, lunch to Dinner. Fresh and perfect flavours.

The other staff is also very good and did everything to make this a perfect vacation. Gave us excellent service. Plyed with our children (age 1,5 and 3,5 years old). The the dogs are the sweetest. The manager himself guided us in Galle.:)

The Villa has its own beach house - that was lovely. Unfortunately the waves was to big for us because of the kids. But they drive us to Wijaya beach, wich is protected with the reef. We could also swim with turtles:)

We want to come back and would recomend it to everybody.

the bathrooms are very light and bright and each room has a wonderful verandah to sit and relax
The highlights are the lovely staff who make you feel completely spoilt , It really feels like a very luxurious friends house
. 2 lovely well behaved dogs who accompany you everywhere ..!
We only had dinner once , but it was lovely , delicious homemade curry and really nice wine
All this , and just a short walk to the beach !
It is a very special place and would highly recommend it

Unforgettable stay at JH Villa! - What a fabulous stay we have had at JH Villa! The house is splendid and surrounded by the most wonderful lush gardens. Waking up to the sound of birds (and... read more monkeys), spotting peacocks, watching monkeys swinging around the beautiful mango and jackfruit trees - and you’re 5 mins away from the beach!!!

The staff were lovely - warm and hospitable - the kind of hospitality you only get in Sri Lanka. Our little 2 yr old could not get enough of the verandas, the pool cabanas, Togo the lovely lab and what he called “running in the jungle!” It’s evident this place has been carefully restored by an amazing owner who has invested more than just money and time.

A fantastic place - and we will definitely be back! A big thank you to Mr Warne and his team for making our stay special. Keep up the good work!
